Maria Sharapova sizzled on the red carpet when she chose this cherry red Alexander McQueen dress to attend the WTA Tour Pre-Wimbledon Party back in June.

The tennis star looked incredible in the slit-shoulder ‘Fin’ mini dress, which she paired with a number of accessories which included a McQueen clutch with intricate gold hardware and Burberry Prorsum leather ankle booties.

Her jewelry included Lara Bohinc ‘Tatjana’ choker and matching cuff, gold earrings with black stones and an oversized cocktail ring with a red stone.

She finished her look by wearing her hair pulled back into a casual up-do and accentuating her eyes.

Louise Redknapp wore the same dress to attend David Walliams’ 40th birthday party at Scott’s restaurant in London this last month.

The TV presenter opted for simple accessories including a plain leather black clutch and two-tone nude and black heels.

She added a pretty pair of gold and red earrings to her look and kept her makeup light.

Maria’s getting my vote on this one. I love her edgier styling as opposed to the more classic take Louise went for.

Although I agree with some of your earlier comments that Maria had on one too many accessories, there’s no denying how amazing they look.

The last time I featured Catherine Zeta Jones many of you were surprised at how she’s disappearing before our very eyes.

The actress was spotted on her way to “A Little Night Music Broadway Cast Recording” signing at the Walter Kerr Theatre in New York yesterday afternoon.

Looking every inch the superstar that she is, Catherine wore a Vionnet Resort 2010 dress.

Her teal dress was longer than the Vionnet bordeaux tunic presented, but it has the same draped back and cape sleeves.

The dress has an elasticated waistband but Catherine still opted to wear her dress with a black leather belt.

I’m confident you will agree she looks stunning here.

I’m I right?

At the 2012 SIHH show Cartier once again released an impressive lineup of haute horlogerie captained by the imaginative and creative Carole Forestier-Kasapi the reigning queen of movement design. She’s the one behind the impressive Time Zone watch last year. Though there were some impressive tourbillons in the mix the Promenade d’une Panthère stood out as one of the most important pieces. Cased in 18K rhodiumized white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds the watch is a showstopper with its purple mother-of-pearl dial and bejeweled panther spinning round finished off with an alligator strap with an 18K rhodiumized buckle set with brilliant-cut diamonds. A total of 6.8 carats of diamonds altogether. Oh I like that!

But did I pick the Cartier Promenade d’une Panthère because I’m dizzy from all the sparkling diamonds or charmed by Cartier’s rendering of their symbol of the lithe panther? No of course not.

Alright I admit I’m taken with the beauty of the piece and wouldn’t mind having it on artistic merit alone so I could promenade around town. This is Cartier after all and they personify style. I’ve showed you what they’ve done with the Tank after more than 100 years. But that’s not the reason I picked this watch for special mention. It’s that the Promenade d’une Panthère symbolizes a changing era for women’s watches odm tungsten steel band watches which has been under served underdeveloped and practically ignored since the 1970’s. Cartier is one of the companies that has the foresight to jump aboard and take advantage of this untapped market.

For the last 30 or so years women’s watches were synonymous with a quartz movement with few exceptions. Before the invention of the quartz watch women had to—gasp—wind their watches.  They didn’t faint or get flustered and need to sit down to handle the affair. They just reset the watch if it happened to stop. The split happened in the 1970’s when the battery dispensed with winding for two to three years through the battery’s life.

Even after the resurgence of the mechanical watch in the 1990’s for men brands continued to market quartz watches to women. Women were told they’d be better off with a quartz watch because then they wouldn’t have to be “bothered” with winding it or “confused” by setting it. An obviously ghastly situation for the fairer sex. So what were the brands really doing? They were selling the idea of convenience for a nice tidy profit. Yes indeed the margins in a ladies quartz watch are much larger than in a mechanical watch.

The Promenade d’une Panthère not only acknowledges a burgeoning market but also respects women and their ability to appreciate horology. Forestier- Kasapi a woman herself has designed a brand new movement (not just one in stock) for this innovative women’s timepiece the Calibre 9603 MC. Instead of placing the rotor on the back of the watch rolex fake watch which is the traditional position she’s inverted it to the front in the form of the panther. Movement of the wrist propels the three-dimensional panther round the dial while at the same time winding the watch. A sapphire case-back allows a view to the excellent finishing of the movement.

You could always tell a watch made for women by its size. Smaller than a man’s replica watches it usually tops out at about 38mm. The Promenade d’une Panthère comes in a what could be called the man’s average size now of 42.75mm. It shows Cartier’s understanding that like men women want bigger watches not dainty pea-sized dials that can only be read with a pince-nez.

With the Promenade d’une Panthère Forestier has created mechanical artwork appealing to women’s love of jewelry and also speaking to their potential to enjoy mechanics. See the video by Cartier below.

Forget the eagle—the camel has landed. The neutral so took over the runways for Spring 2010 that it feels omnipresent, and the season’s barely begun. There’s not a girl I know who isn’t planning some dromedary debut, whether it’s a Celine coat or a pair of Chloé trousers. Hey, no objections here. But what about us guys? To me at least, a camel coat just doesn’t feel as fresh for men. That’s why I’m planning to leave the toppers to the ladies and invest in accessories. I love this sandy ruck sack from the Singaporean brand Raoul. The shape’s a bit more mature than some of the more schoolboyish options, though the collegiate spirit is intact—fit for an upperclassman, say. With its classic shape, I could see even a tomboy tossing it on over her slouchy blazer. But c’mon, girls—don’t you have options enough of your own?Raoul rucksack, $336, for more information, call (212) 206-8264 or visit www.raoul.com.

Modifications can improve a dress, or they can ruin a dress. Duffy did the latter when she attended the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes last month, wearing a shorten version of a chic YSL dress.

Kristin Scott Thomas wore her beautiful velvet bow strapless dress as it was intended, when she arrived the Critics’ Choice Awards, carrying an embellished clutch.

If you are still undecided as to who wore it better, maybe the heels will help.

Kristen wore a gorgeous pair of YSL satin sandals, whereas Duffy opted for the much worn YSL Trib Two pumps.

Even without the heels, Kristen wins this very easily for me.

Ana Álvarez looked like an angel at the 2010 San Sebastian Film Festival Closing Ceremony this weekend.

The Spanish actress glowed on the red carpet wearing a beige Christian Dior Spring 2010 gown.

Her off-the-shoulder sheer gown with embroidered details was worn with a shorter beige dress underneath.

The gown may have been heavily watered down from the runway, but I much prefer Ana’s version.

It more elegant and not a brash as the runway version which I don’t think many could easily pull off.

Which do you prefer?

The runway or the red carpet version?

Camille Miceli is one of those Parisian girls who gets it right every time with seemingly zero effort or contrivance. At last night’s opening of Nike and Lance Armstrong’s Stages art show to benefit cancer research at the Emmanuel Perrotin gallery, the creative director of LV’s jewelry pumped up the volume on her sheer black ensemble with not one, not two, but three matching electric green accessories: a pair of aviators, thin oversized hoops, and a watch. (That’s not even mentioning the KAWS painting behind her.) What do you think? A bright moment of je ne sais quoi or should she have followed the old fashion chestnut and taken off at least one accessory before leaving the house?—Meenal Mistry

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall blew everyone away on the red carpet for the New York premiere of Sex And The City 2 last night.

Here is a look at the rest of the celebs who attended.

Becki Newton looked adorable wearing a Celine Resort 2010 blazer with cute black leather shorts.

Brian Atwood heels and a Chanel clutch completed her look.

Cute, yet chic.

Jessica Szohr opted for a tougher look wearing a black Willow Fall 2010 tuxedo jumpsuit with a twisted front.

I do like the jumpsuit but the pants are too long on Jessica.  Her black bandage wedges which are also from the Willow Fall 2010 collection didn’t excite me.

Jennifer Love Hewitt decided to be original opting for a Herve Leger crystal-embellished bandage dress from the Resort 2010 collection which she paired with Christian Louboutin Studio 120 peep-toe pumps.

As much as I prefer the runway Herve Leger dresses, she does look smokin’ hot in her signature dress.

Becki’s Celine jacket is my favourite out of these looks.

Whitney Port wore a black georgette Moschino Spring 2010 dress with front twist detail and a poufy skirt.

Writer Candace Bushnell opted for a crystal embellished look from the Miu Miu Spring 2010 collection with Miu Miu glitter-embellished platform sandals.

Padma Lakshmi wore a Naeem Khan Fall 2008 sleeveless white peony-embroidered flared dress.

This was originally presented as a dress with fur cuffed sleeves.

Lebanese actress Raya Meddine – who appears in the SATC 2 movie – wore a black Rami Kashou Spring 2010 silk organza pleated rose gown.

Keri Hilson wore this same dress to the NAACP Image Awards earlier this year.

I love how Raya let her dress do all the talking.

Michelle Trachtenberg wore a red hot Notte by Marchesa strapless lace dress with draped chiffon overlay.

Amanda Peet opted for a very casual “I’m just popping down to the Mall look”, wearing an Isabel Marant printed dress and khaki jacket. Prada heels completed her look.

Vanessa Williams was gorgeous in a purple draped dress, whilst Melania Trump wore a Catherine Malandrino ruffled mini dress with nude Louboutin’s.

Balmain gets baggage. The studded and sparkly line from Christophe Decarnin has added bags to its lineup. And while we know It bags are out, we’re sure these well be topping a few wish lists. [WWD]Attention, ne’er-do-wells: Longtime Page Six scribe Paula Froelich is leaving the Post, giving you a few weeks to get up to trouble while no one is looking. [Gawker]Karolina Kurkova is pregnant, and has been for six months. Yes, she’s one of those pregnant women. [Page Six]On the eve of her 29th birthday and a Barbie-and-Ken-themed bash, Jessica Simpson found herself Ken-less. The singer and her footballer boyfriend, Tony Romo, broke up last week, which means she and Nick Lachey are both looking for a rebound. [Us Weekly&#93—Alison Baenen

Despite the £6,800 price tag, this Herve Leger metal pailette embellished bandage dress sold out not long after it was uploaded onto Net-A-Porter.

And it’s no wonder considering two of music hottest divas have been seen wearing it.

Jennifer Lopez was in Club LIV in Miami to showcase the video for her new single back in October wearing this Herve Leger dress.

Jennifer looked stunning as always, wearing her mirrored mini dress with black Christian Louboutin Differa sandals.

Singer Shakira wore the same dress on stage and in the press room at the 2009 American Music Awards.

I didn’t like the way she styled her hair, plus I prefer Jennifer’s Differa sandals, so JLo wins for me.
